Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to perform routine clerical duties including answering phones and filing
  • Experience with data entry and record keeping
  • Knowledge of insurance verification processes preferred
  • Ability to manage multi-line phone systems
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Job Qualifications

  • Previous clerical or administrative experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of office equipment and software applications
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and work under supervision

Job Duties

  • Sign in addiction recovery clients and direct other clients to the correct location
  • Verify financial information in avatar
  • Cover front desk at site daily
  • Enter applications into My Avatar
  • Verify and keep track of client payments
  • Verify insurance coverage for all Medicaid clients at check in
  • Complete fee sets
  • Close and reconcile the front desk at the end of each shift
  • Answer multi-line phones, manage incoming calls, respond to front line inquiries about service available, participation requirements, insurance eligibility, transfer calls to the appropriate place
  • Perform daily reminder calls for intake appointments and prescriber's appointments
  • Assist with prior authorization, ensuring they are completed before submission to avoid denials, call pharmacies, inform clients of approvals, follow up with insurance companies
  • File lab results
  • Close charts for discharged clients
  • Make bank deposits for front desk when needed
  • Post and proof daily schedules
  • Distribute faxes
  • Assist with projects given by the office manager
  • Cover front desk at various sites when short staffed or assist other programs in the building
  • Perform general work duties including sending and receiving ARS faxes, distributing incoming mail, replenishing paper in fax and copy machines
