Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with one year experience in guest services or front desk roles
  • or two-year degree in hotel and restaurant management, hospitality, business administration, or related field
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
  • ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
  • knowledge of hotel services and New Orleans cultural events
  • ability to maintain confidentiality and professional appearance

Job Duties

  • Welcome and acknowledge each guest with a smile and friendly greeting
  • process guest check-ins by confirming reservations and assigning rooms
  • issue and activate room keys according to hotel policies
  • handle all forms of payment including room charges, cash, checks, debit, and credit
  • answer and process guest calls, messages, requests, questions, or concerns
  • coordinate with Housekeeping to track room readiness
  • run and review daily reports on arrivals and departures
  • balance and secure cash bank at beginning and end of shifts
  • resolve guest issues and special requests promptly
  • complete designated cashier and closing reports accurately
