Job Requirements

  • Must be available to work flexible schedule including weekends, early evenings, and holidays
  • Previous stockroom or inventory experience required
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Ability to lift and/or move items weighing 50-75 pounds frequently
  • Must maintain friendly and approachable demeanor
  • Comply with California Academy of Sciences COVID-19 vaccination or testing policy
  • Must be able to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, reaching, climbing, and crouching

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in stockroom or inventory role
  • Basic computer knowledge for inventory management
  • Positive and welcoming attitude toward guests and team members
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends, evenings, and holidays
  • Physical capability to perform lifting and other physical tasks related to stockroom duties
  • Effective organizational and communication skills
  • Commitment to teamwork and guest satisfaction

Job Duties

  • Organize and manage inventory including receiving, transferring, packing, stocking, and ticketing merchandise
  • Support daily store operations by assisting the management team to ensure smooth workflow
  • Deliver exceptional guest service by maintaining a fully stocked and organized sales floor
  • Maintain an orderly and efficient stockroom environment
  • Collaborate with team members and venue staff to ensure coordination of tasks
  • Monitor stock levels and report discrepancies or shortages
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines including COVID-19 vaccination or testing requirements
