Job Requirements

  • One year related experience
  • one year customer service experience
  • possession of a valid drivers license
  • ability to work nights and weekends
  • ability to lift and carry up to 45lbs independently and over 45lbs with assistance
  • willingness to obtain CPR and first aid certification
  • swimming proficiency
  • ability to maintain confidentiality
  • adherence to safety procedures
  • ability to work with little supervision
  • ability to supervise large groups
  • able to communicate effectively orally and in writing
  • knowledge of Microsoft Office

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year related experience
  • minimum of one year customer service experience
  • valid drivers license
  • knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Outlook
  • excellent oral and written communication skills
  • ability to plan, organize, and execute special events
  • ability to maintain effective working relationships with all levels of employees
  • ability to work with minimal supervision
  • ability to supervise large groups unassisted
  • CPR and first aid certification within three months of employment
  • swimming experience sufficient to meet surf instructor certification

Job Duties

  • Support Warrior Athlete Readiness and Resilience (WARR) programming and Marine Corps Total Fitness (MCTF) strategy
  • operate and assist in assigned recreational activities
  • supervise participants in indoor and outdoor activities
  • set up gymnasiums and playing fields for sports events
  • conduct instructional classes including mountain bike trail rides, hikes, and surf lessons
  • plan, schedule, and publicize recreational activities
  • maintain supplies and equipment
  • provide world class customer service with an emphasis on courtesy
  • manage facility cash handling and work within event budgets
  • maintain confidentiality of personal information
  • adhere to safety regulations and standards
  • may assist other Semper Fit programs as needed
  • work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • lift and carry objects as required
