Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • two years of crime analysis or equivalent 911 call/dispatch experience or public safety service
  • must obtain and maintain GCIC certification within six months
  • knowledge of UAS flight operations and FAA regulations
  • ability to obtain and maintain FAA Remote Pilot License
  • valid State of Georgia Class C Driver's License with a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record
  • ability to review, classify, and analyze data
  • effective verbal and written communication
  • build and maintain effective relationships
  • analyze data for actionable insights
  • perform basic mathematical calculations including decimals, percentages, and interpret graphs
  • manage sensitive information with discretion
  • adapt to changing priorities and fast-paced work
  • operate office equipment including computers and database applications

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • two years of crime analysis or equivalent 911 call/dispatch experience
  • ability to obtain and maintain GCIC certification
  • knowledge of UAS flight operations and FAA regulations
  • ability to obtain and maintain US Department of Transportation/FAA Remote Pilot License
  • valid State of Georgia Driver's License Class C
  • strong data review and analysis skills
  • effective oral and written communication skills
  • ability to build and maintain professional relationships
  • proficiency in office equipment and software
  • ability to manage confidential information with discretion
  • adaptability in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Perform intelligence analysis
  • aid in clarification of complex cases involving multiple suspects and witnesses
  • assist in the investigation of major cases with patterns or trends
  • perform tactical, strategic, and administrative crime analyses
  • input, access, and query data in county, state, and federal databases including GIS, CAD, police record systems, GCIC, and NCIC
  • utilize real-time crime center software and law enforcement technologies such as license plate reader software
  • detect and respond to active public safety dispatches from multiple real-time sources
  • detect, verify, and respond to field device failures and maintain related records
  • communicate with law enforcement officers via various communication mediums
  • participate in Drone as First Responder operations including remote UAS operation
  • ensure all FAA guidelines and evidence procedures are followed
  • testify in court as required
  • participate in special projects
  • maintain regular attendance and punctuality
  • collaborate with other law enforcement agencies
  • attend department meetings, seminars, and training sessions
  • perform other related duties as assigned
