Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years in age or older
- Must pass DOT physical, drug screen and criminal background check
- Must possess valid DOT medical card
- Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures
- Willingness to work in a team environment
- Must maintain current CDL Class A and/or B driver’s license with air brake endorsement
- MVR must meet company and DOT standards
- Must be willing to travel and work away from home
- Must be willing to work nights and weekends
- Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as stated by OSHA and/or MSHA
- Compliance with all OSHA and/or MSHA regulations
- Must display professional and courteous attitude
- Must be physically able to perform job duties including lifting 10-100 lbs
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- Minimum of 2 years experience driving mixer truck preferred
- Must have a valid driver’s license and must maintain a CDL A or CDL B license
- Ability to learn operational knowledge and skills of mixer truck and related equipment
- Ability to read, write and do basic mathematical calculations
- Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently
- Must be familiar with securing heavy equipment and over-dimensional loads
- Ability to professionally interact with customers and assist with issues
- Ability to operate various types of heavy equipment including ready mix trucks, loaders, and haul trucks
Job Duties
- Perform daily pre/post trip inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with DOT guidelines
- Load and unload equipment of materials
- Monitor various gauges during operation of vehicle
- Maintain daily vehicle mileage logs
- Properly follow all company policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
- Obey applicable laws and follow dispatch instructions
- Assure product quality to the best of ability
- Perform minor servicing and maintenance of equipment
- Keep vehicle clean and in orderly condition
- Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required
- Other duties as assigned
