Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B with a clean FMCSA Clearinghouse record
- Drivers Abstract required
- Ability to operate a ready-mix truck safely and efficiently
- Navigate Bellingham and surrounding Whatcom County areas for on-time deliveries
- Work collaboratively with logistics, operations, and drivers
- Unload materials following safety guidelines
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Report incidents or vehicle malfunctions promptly
- Perform basic maintenance tasks
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs
- Comfortable working at heights
- Safety-first mindset
- Adhere to safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment including respirators
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Relevant industry training or certification in commercial driving preferred
- Previous experience as a ready-mix truck driver is a plus
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B with a clean FMCSA Clearinghouse record
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, vehicle regulations, and safe driving practices
- Ability to operate a ready-mix truck safely and efficiently
Job Duties
- Safely operate a mixer truck to transport and deliver ready-mix concrete to job sites
- Build and maintain relationships of trust with customers, ensuring consistent and reliable service
- Provide a positive and hassle-free delivery experience for customers
- Maintain accurate delivery records, including time logs, mileage, and fuel consumption
- Coordinate with supervisors, project managers, and other personnel to optimize delivery schedules
- Demonstrate flexibility by working different shifts and Saturdays as needed
- Communicate, improve and adhere to health, safety and environmental policies, promoting a culture of safety
