Job Requirements
- High school diploma minimum
- valid Class A or B CDL license
- pass Federal DOT drug screen and physical exam
- maintain clean driving record per DOT standards
- ability to operate heavy vehicles safely
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- availability to work extended hours up to 10 hours daily and multiple days weekly
- physical ability to lift 50 pounds frequently
- willingness to work in varying weather conditions
- ability to read and interpret safety and maintenance documents
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Class A or B CDL license required
- one to three months related experience or training preferred
- ability to pass Federal DOT drug screen and physical
- good driving record compliant with Federal and State regulations
- strong customer service and communication skills
- ability to read, write, and speak English effectively
- ability to handle cash transactions
- experience with safety procedures and equipment maintenance
- ability to work 10 hours per day, 4 to 6 days per week
- ability to lift 50 pounds frequently
- capability to work in extreme temperatures
Job Duties
- Drive truck equipped with concrete mixer to deliver concrete to job sites
- perform pre-trip inspection pursuant to DOT regulations including checking oils, antifreeze, tires, brakes, and controls
- fill water tank before deliveries
- use map and experience to take most direct route
- safely maneuver truck on unstable job site terrain
- add necessary ingredients like fibers, chemical admixtures, cement, and colors
- operate and maintain delivery chutes including washing after use
- clean truck with hose, brush, and acidic solutions after each shift
- communicate with dispatch via two-way radio and truck status system
- perform post-trip inspection
- call callout for start times daily
- perform other duties assigned by supervisor or management
