Job Requirements
- A minimum Class B CDL
- Valid DOT medical card
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 1 year related experience or training or equivalent combo of education and experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety and operating instructions
- Ability to perform basic mathematical operations
- Ability to apply common sense understanding
- Willingness to work nights and weekends
- Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner without direct supervision
- Strict adherence to company policies and procedures
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Timely and regular attendance
- Ability to handle physical demands including lifting 50 pounds
- Must wear required personal protective equipment as per OSHA and MSHA
Job Qualifications
- Must possess valid minimum Class B CDL
- High school diploma preferred or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals
- Strong communication skills to effectively present information to customers and coworkers
- Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with units of measure
- Ability to apply common sense and carry out simple instructions
- Competence in handling job-related stressful situations
- Valid DOT medical card
Job Duties
- Work safely and efficiently
- Safely maintain work area and vehicle in a clean and orderly condition
- Comply with all OSHA and USDOT/FMCSA safe-operating practices
- Use personal protective equipment as directed
- Operate ready-mix concrete truck to deliver to construction sites safely and efficiently
- Maintain communication with dispatcher or plant manager regarding deliveries
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicle and report maintenance issues
- Maintain cleanliness of the truck including rinsing drum before and after deliveries
- Collect money from customers and record transactions
- Respond to customer questions related to basic product knowledge and concrete instructions
- Utilize tablet and computer skills to manage routing and deliveries
- Perform additional functions such as yard work, sweeping, shoveling, and truck or plant maintenance as assigned
