The role being offered is for a Concrete Mixer Truck Driver, a critical position responsible for the safe and timely transportation of concrete to various job sites. This is a hands-on role that requires a competent driver who abides by company safety programs and policies while performing daily vehicle checks and operating the concrete mixer truck with precision. The driver will be tasked with backing the truck under the loading hopper, managing the mixer, and driving to designated sites while ensuring compliance with safety standards and traffic regulations. The role demands assembling and attaching the concrete chute, managing discharge levers according to concrete specifications, and cleaning the truck after each delivery to prevent concrete hardening. Minor maintenance tasks such as tire pressure checks, oil changes, and lubrication must also be performed regularly. The position requires a flexible work schedule, especially during busy seasons, and the ability to work late or irregular hours. Candidates should possess a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), meet Department of Transportation (DOT) physical requirements, and maintain insurability under company driving policies. Prior experience or knowledge of construction products is advantageous. Due to the physical demands of the job, the candidate must be capable of performing activities such as lifting up to 60 pounds, handling equipment, and maintaining visual acuity for safe operation. Job Duties

  • Abide by company safety program and policies while performing duties safely
  • perform daily pre- and post-trip safety check on equipment and the truck to assure a safe vehicle
  • document and report any maintenance that may be required
  • back truck under loading hopper, start mixer to receive concrete
  • follow guidelines and instructions by dispatch personnel
  • drive the truck to designated job sites for unloading and distinguish between safe and unsafe conditions
  • assemble the concrete chute and attach chute to the back of the truck
  • control the appropriate levers on the truck to discharge concrete according to specifications
  • wash out truck after delivery to prevent concrete from hardening in mixer and on truck
  • perform minor maintenance to the assigned vehicle such as tire pressure, oil change, and lube job as needed
