Job Requirements
- Must have a CDL
- high school diploma or GED
- must meet insurability for driving requirements of the company
- must meet the Department of Transportation (DOT) physical requirements and carry a current physical exam card according to DOT guidelines
- must be able to work a flexible work schedule during busy season including late or irregular hours
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- valid commercial driver’s license (CDL)
- knowledge of construction and construction products is helpful
- understanding of internal and external customer service responsibilities
Job Duties
- Abide by company safety program and policies while performing duties safely
- perform daily pre- and post-trip safety check on equipment and the truck to assure a safe vehicle
- document and report any maintenance that may be required
- back truck under loading hopper, start mixer to receive concrete
- follow guidelines and instructions by dispatch personnel
- drive the truck to designated job sites for unloading and distinguish between safe and unsafe conditions
- assemble the concrete chute and attach chute to the back of the truck
- control the appropriate levers on the truck to discharge concrete according to specifications
- wash out truck after delivery to prevent concrete from hardening
- perform minor maintenance to the assigned vehicle such as tire pressure, oil change, and lube job as needed
