Job Requirements

  • Must have a CDL
  • high school diploma or GED
  • must meet insurability for driving requirements of the company
  • must meet the Department of Transportation (DOT) physical requirements and carry a current physical exam card according to DOT guidelines
  • must be able to work a flexible work schedule during busy season including late or irregular hours

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • valid commercial driver’s license (CDL)
  • knowledge of construction and construction products is helpful
  • understanding of internal and external customer service responsibilities

Job Duties

  • Abide by company safety program and policies while performing duties safely
  • perform daily pre- and post-trip safety check on equipment and the truck to assure a safe vehicle
  • document and report any maintenance that may be required
  • back truck under loading hopper, start mixer to receive concrete
  • follow guidelines and instructions by dispatch personnel
  • drive the truck to designated job sites for unloading and distinguish between safe and unsafe conditions
  • assemble the concrete chute and attach chute to the back of the truck
  • control the appropriate levers on the truck to discharge concrete according to specifications
  • wash out truck after delivery to prevent concrete from hardening
  • perform minor maintenance to the assigned vehicle such as tire pressure, oil change, and lube job as needed
