Job Requirements
- U.S. citizenship
- active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance prior to start date
- ability to obtain top-secret clearance and program access as needed
- commercial pilot certificate
- minimum 1,500 flight hours with at least 300 hours as pilot in command
- turbine aircraft experience
- ability to obtain and maintain FAA first class medical and airline transport pilot certificate
- minimum 10 years relevant experience or advanced degree with 7 years experience
- ability to work in classified and SAP environments
- willingness to travel up to 20%
- ability to work onsite in Tucson, Arizona
Job Qualifications
- University degree or equivalent experience with minimum 10 years relevant experience or advanced degree in related field with minimum 7 years experience
- experience in flight test within the last 10 years
- commercial pilot certificate
- minimum 1,500 hours pilot time with 300 hours as pilot in command
- turbine experience
- ability to obtain and hold an FAA first class medical and airline transport pilot certificate
- graduate of military test pilot school, weapons school, or possess 3+ years direct military flight-test experience preferred
- multi-engine turbine experience preferred
- advanced flying qualifications such as instructor pilot or flight examiner preferred
- military research development test and evaluation flight test experience preferred
- experience with large multi-engine turbine aircraft or tactical fighter test pilot experience preferred
- experience leading flight operations sub-organization or aircraft maintenance team preferred
- top secret security clearance preferred
- experience in flight test mission control room preferred
- experience working classified and SAP programs preferred
Job Duties
- Plan and coordinate flight test missions involving military ranges and FAA airspace
- conduct internal flight test readiness evaluations and coordinate customer airworthiness audits
- lead mission planning, coordination briefings, and contribute to test reporting
- coordinate aircraft maintenance activities and liaison with subcontracted support team
- qualify and maintain currency for Raytheon FTO test aircraft including CL601, B727-200, B737-800, and C206 as a test pilot crew member
- perform work in classified and SAP environments
- travel up to 20% to support flight test deployments or technical interchange meetings
