Job Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance required prior to start date
  • Ability to obtain and hold FAA First Class medical and Airline Transport Pilot certificate
  • Commercial pilot certificate
  • Minimum 1,500 flight hours including 300 hours Pilot in Command
  • Turbine experience
  • Ability to travel up to 20%
  • Willingness to work onsite in Tucson, Arizona

Job Qualifications

  • University degree or equivalent experience with minimum 10 years relevant flight test experience
  • Advanced degree in a related field with minimum 7 years experience preferred
  • Commercial pilot certificate
  • Minimum 1,500 hours pilot time with 300 hours as Pilot in Command
  • Turbine experience
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance required prior to start date
  • Ability to obtain Top Secret clearance and program access
  • Graduate of military Test Pilot School, Weapons School, or equivalent formal course preferred
  • Multi-engine turbine experience preferred
  • Advanced flying qualifications such as Instructor Pilot or Flight Examiner preferred
  • Military RDT&E flight test experience preferred
  • Experience with large multi-engine turbine aircraft or tactical fighter test pilot experience preferred
  • FAA Airline Transport Pilot certificate preferred
  • Experience leading flight operations or aircraft maintenance team preferred
  • Top Secret Security Clearance preferred
  • Experience in flight test mission control room preferred
  • Experience working with classified and SAP programs preferred

Job Duties

  • Plan and coordinate flight test missions involving military ranges and FAA airspace
  • conduct internal flight test readiness evaluations and coordinate customer airworthiness audits
  • lead mission planning, coordination briefings, and contribute to test reporting
  • coordinate aircraft maintenance activities and liaison with subcontracted support team
  • qualify and maintain currency for Raytheon FTO test aircraft including CL601, B727-200, B737-800, and C206 as a test pilot crew member
  • perform work in classified and SAP environments
  • travel up to 20% to support flight test deployments or technical interchange meetings
