Job Requirements

  • University degree or equivalent experience
  • minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or Advanced Degree with minimum 7 years experience
  • experience in flight test within the last 10 years
  • commercial pilot certificate
  • minimum 1,500 hours pilot time with minimum 300 hours as Pilot in Command
  • turbine experience
  • active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance prior to start date
  • ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance and program access
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • ability to obtain and hold FAA First Class Medical and Airline Transport Pilot certificate

Job Qualifications

  • University degree or equivalent experience with minimum 10 years relevant experience or Advanced Degree with minimum 7 years experience
  • experience in flight test within the last 10 years
  • commercial pilot certificate
  • minimum 1,500 hours pilot time with at least 300 hours as Pilot in Command
  • turbine experience
  • active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret clearance
  • U.S. citizenship
  • graduate of military Test Pilot School, Weapons School, or equivalent formal course or 3+ years of direct military flight-test experience
  • multi-engine turbine experience
  • advanced flying qualifications including Instructor Pilot or Flight Examiner
  • military Research Development Test and Evaluation flight test experience
  • experience with large multi-engine turbine aircraft with onboard Mission Crew or tactical fighter test pilot experience
  • FAA Airline Transport Pilot Certificate
  • experience leading a flight operations sub-organization or aircraft maintenance team
  • Top Secret Security Clearance
  • experience in a flight test mission control room
  • experience working classified and SAP programs

Job Duties

  • Plan and coordinate flight test missions involving military ranges and FAA airspace
  • conduct internal flight test readiness evaluations and coordinate customer airworthiness audits
  • lead mission planning, coordination briefings, and contribute to test reporting
  • coordinate aircraft maintenance activities and liaison with subcontracted support team
  • qualify and maintain currency for Raytheon FTO test aircraft including CL601, B727-200, B737-800, and C206 as a test pilot crew member
  • perform work in classified and SAP environments
  • travel up to 20% to support flight test deployments or technical interchange meetings
