Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in a similar role preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation guidelines
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to restaurant policies and procedures

Job Qualifications

  • Prior experience in raw bar or sushi preparation
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Strong knife skills and experience with seafood handling
  • Basic culinary skills including cooking, baking, roasting, and steaming
  • Attention to detail in plating and food presentation
  • Ability to follow recipes and kitchen standards

Job Duties

  • Prepare raw bar items and roll sushi including sushi features and oyster shucking
  • Perform food and final plate preparation including plating and garnishing cooked items
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of food preparation and serving areas
  • Regulate cooking temperatures for various kitchen equipment to ensure food safety
  • Monitor freshness and rotate stock of food ingredients to maintain quality
  • Follow standard portion sizes, cooking methods, and kitchen policies consistently
  • Stock and maintain food products at line stations to support smooth service periods
