- General understanding of chemical handling, process control, safety procedures, and property testing preferred

Job Duties
- Operate pilot coating equipment including paper unwinding/winding systems, hot-air dryers, multi-layer coating heads, and precision fluid-dispensing tools
- Maintain pilot coating systems through disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly of pumps, blowers, and other precision components
- Troubleshoot process, raw-material, and basic equipment issues
- Sample and inspect film before and after coating
- Perform quality checks including printing, visual inspection, and color evaluation
- Follow computer-based batch recipes to prepare chemical mixtures including weighing and measuring chemicals with proper sequence, addition rate, and safety standards
- Operate chemical-mixing equipment including reactors, mixing vessels, mills, sonolators, and chillers
- Sample, measure, and record physical and chemical properties of solutions
- Clean kettles and maintain process cleanliness
- Troubleshoot raw-material, process, and basic equipment problems
- Maintain housekeeping and ensure cleanliness of work areas
- Work collaboratively to meet safety, quality, and production goals
- Use company computer systems for payroll, email, and documentation
- Receive and transport materials manually or using pallet jacks and forklifts
- Perform additional duties as assigned
