Job Requirements

Minimum of high school diploma or GED with good grades in science and math classes
education or experience working in related scientific field such as food science, biology, biochemistry, health and wellness, botany, chemistry
intermediate to advanced computer skills including Gmail, Google Drive, Excel, data entry
US citizenship or legally able to work in the United States

Job Duties

Assist the product development team in maintaining the laboratory
help to maintain the physical laboratory ingredients as well as the online database
ensure available ingredients are within expiration and restock expiring ingredients
replenish lab supplies as needed
help to maintain a clean lab
assist the product development team in creation, taste testing and analyzing materials
prepare lab samples
conduct and document taste testing projects for both new products and material equivalency projects
record work in a laboratory notebook
assist in the product development team in research and information gathering
assist formulators with ingredient research
gather documents for R&D scientists
conduct ingredient literature searches and generate scientific reports
research market and ingredient product trends using company resources and keep a full record
present research to small groups as assigned
