Job Requirements

  • Minimum of high school diploma or GED with good grades in science and math classes
  • education or experience working in related scientific field such as food science, biology, biochemistry, health and wellness, botany, chemistry
  • intermediate to advanced computer skills including Gmail, Google Drive, Excel, data entry
  • US citizenship or legally able to work in the United States

Job Duties

  • Assist the product development team in maintaining the laboratory
  • help to maintain the physical laboratory ingredients as well as the online database
  • ensure available ingredients are within expiration and restock expiring ingredients
  • replenish lab supplies as needed
  • help to maintain a clean lab
  • assist the product development team in creation, taste testing and analyzing materials
  • prepare lab samples
  • conduct and document taste testing projects for both new products and material equivalency projects
  • record work in a laboratory notebook
  • assist in the product development team in research and information gathering
  • assist formulators with ingredient research
  • gather documents for R&D scientists
  • conduct ingredient literature searches and generate scientific reports
  • research market and ingredient product trends using company resources and keep a full record
  • present research to small groups as assigned
