Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Over five years of experience as a baker is preferred
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to perform repetitive motions, such as kneading dough and mixing ingredients
- Ability to work varying shifts including weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Ability to follow professional and presentable dress code
- Ability to maintain clear communication with customers and team members
- Ability to work in fast-paced, noisy environments
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Over five years of experience as a baker is preferred
- Previous supervisory experience is a plus
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to bake various goods, from breads to pastries, following recipes and adjusting as necessary
- Knowledge of proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
Job Duties
- Supervise and manage the bakery team, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient production
- Prepare doughs, batters, and fillings according to established recipes and techniques
- Weigh and measure ingredients precisely to ensure consistency in product quality
- Operate and maintain baking equipment, including mixers, ovens, and proofing chambers
- Shape, mold, and decorate dough to create a variety of breads, pastries, and desserts
- Monitor the baking process to ensure products are baked to perfection and meet desired standards
- Coordinate with the bakery lead to determine baking priorities and production schedules
- Assist in inventory management, ensuring adequate stock levels of ingredients and supplies
- Receive, validate, and store merchandise and ingredient deliveries
- Follow strict sanitation and food safety guidelines to maintain a clean and hygienic baking environment
- Train and mentor new bakery staff, ensuring they understand and follow established procedures
- Handle customer inquiries and special orders, ensuring customer satisfaction
- Conduct regular quality checks and implement improvements as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
