Job Requirements

  • at least 18 years old
  • high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • comfortable with computers and new technologies
  • able to stand and handle baggage for eight hours
  • fluent in English
  • good driving record and valid driver’s license
  • able to obtain and maintain required credentials
  • pass background check
  • pass physical ability, hearing, vision, and drug tests
  • available for all shifts and mandatory overtime
  • able to perform physical activities including lifting 70lbs
  • legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
  • no extended periods living outside the U.S. in past 3 years
  • reliable and punctual attendance
  • meet uniform and appearance standards
  • willing to work on-site

Job Qualifications

  • at least 18 years old
  • high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • comfortable with computers, mobile devices, and new technologies
  • able to stand, walk, and handle baggage for an eight-hour shift
  • able to read, write and speak English fluently
  • ability to communicate with other departments and flight crews
  • must possess a valid state-issued driver’s license, with a good driving record
  • must be eligible to acquire and maintain credentials vital for the position
  • must pass a background check
  • must pass a pre-placement physical ability test, hearing and vision tests, and drug screen
  • position-specific clearances include but are not limited to FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal Service clearances
  • available during day and night shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • able to perform physical activities including bending, stooping, climbing, and lifting up to 70lbs
  • ability to obtain required training certifications and successfully complete all required job functions
  • able to work outdoors in all temperatures and weather conditions
  • must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • must not have lived outside the U.S. in the past 3 years for more than six months except military or government exceptions
  • successful completion of interview and assessment
  • reliable, punctual attendance
  • ability to meet uniform and appearance standards
  • willing and able to work 100% on-site

Job Duties

  • process baggage and cargo between airport facilities and aircraft
  • receive and dispatch aircraft
  • operate and drive equipment safely
  • load and unload baggage and cargo
  • interpret load sheets, baggage tags, and cargo labels
  • perform safety checks and comply with operational procedures
  • communicate effectively with flight crews and other departments
