Job Requirements

  • at least 18 years old
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • able to stand, walk, and handle baggage for an eight-hour shift
  • able to read, write and speak English fluently
  • ability to communicate with other departments and flight crews
  • must possess a valid state-issued driver’s license with a good driving record
  • must be eligible to acquire and maintain credentials vital for the position
  • must pass a background check
  • must pass a pre-placement physical ability test, hearing and vision tests, and drug screen
  • position-specific clearances required including FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal Service
  • available during day and night shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • willing to work mandatory overtime when required
  • able to perform variety of physical activities including bending, stooping, climbing, working in tight spaces, and lifting up to 70 pounds
  • able to obtain required training certifications and perform safety checks
  • able to work outdoors in all temperatures and weather conditions
  • legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • able to work in areas with high noise levels
  • must not have lived outside the United States in the past 3 years for any period longer than six months except military duty or government-approved exceptions
  • successful completion of interview and assessment
  • reliable punctual attendance
  • ability to meet uniform and appearance standards
  • willing and able to work 100 percent on-site

  • comfortable with computers and mobile devices
  • able to communicate effectively in English
  • able to perform physical activities including lifting up to 70 pounds

  • able to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
  • able to work in high noise environments

  • processing baggage between baggage areas and aircraft
  • receiving and dispatching aircraft
  • handling boxes and cargo
  • communicating with other departments and flight crews

  • loading and unloading baggage and cargo
