Job Requirements

  • At least 18 years old
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Comfortable with computers, mobile devices, and new technologies
  • Able to stand, walk, and handle baggage for an eight-hour shift
  • Able to read, write and speak English fluently
  • Ability to communicate with other departments and flight crews
  • Must possess a valid state-issued driver's license, with a good driving record
  • Must be eligible to acquire and maintain credentials vital for the position
  • Must pass a background check
  • Must pass a pre-placement physical ability test, hearing and vision tests, and drug screen
  • Position-specific clearances include but are not limited to FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal Service clearances
  • Available during day and night shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • Work mandatory overtime when necessary
  • Able to perform physical activities including bending, stooping, climbing, lifting up to 70lbs
  • Ability to obtain required training certifications and perform safety checks
  • Work outdoors in all temperatures and weather conditions
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Work in high noise level environments
  • Must NOT have lived outside the United States in the past 3 years for more than six months except military or government exceptions
  • Successful completion of interview and assessment
  • Reliable and punctual attendance
  • Ability to meet uniform and appearance standards
  • Must be willing and able to work 100% on-site

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Comfortable with computers and new technologies
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English
  • Valid state-issued driver's license with good driving record
  • Eligible to acquire and maintain required security credentials
  • Ability to perform physical tasks associated with the role
  • Experience working in fast-paced environments is a plus

Job Duties

  • Process baggage between baggage/cargo areas and aircraft
  • Receive and dispatch aircraft
  • Operate and drive airport ground equipment
  • Load and unload baggage and cargo
  • Interpret load sheets, baggage tags, and cargo labels
  • Perform safety checks and comply with operational safety standards
  • Communicate effectively with other departments and flight crews
