Job Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen or show proof of right to work in the U.S.
- must be willing to work in inclement weather
- possess prior ramp service experience preferred
- have de-ice service experience preferred
- forklift operator experience preferred
- possess a valid driver’s license preferred
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- high school graduate or GED
- good communication skills
- ability to lift 60 pounds comfortably
- able to fluently read, write, speak and understand English
- ability to work under stressful situations and tight time constraints in a fast-paced environment
- self-motivated, team player
- required to work nights, weekends, holidays and varying schedules
- successfully complete background investigation including FBI fingerprinting, criminal history and pre-employment drug test
- ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- ability to speak effectively to individuals and groups
- ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
- able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Job Duties
- Marshall aircraft on the ramp including directing, assisting and parking all arriving, departing and towed aircraft
- service aircraft as needed including lavatory service, water service, cabin cleaning and other services
- perform aircraft de-icing and anti-icing
- loading and unloading of aircraft baggage and cargo
- perform safe and efficient operations of all ground service equipment
- vigilantly observe, inspect, monitor and screen all passengers, airport personnel and crew to detect potential security breaches or safety hazards
- promptly respond to any calls for assistance from pilot or crew of any aircraft, addressing concerns swiftly and effectively
