Job Requirements
- Must have forklift experience
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Must be authorized to work in the United States if applicable
- Must complete ramp and security identification training (SIDA)
- Must be able to secure customs seal if required
- Must be physically able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 70 pounds regularly
- Must be able to communicate effectively in a professional manner
- Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
- Forklift experience required
- Possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Authorization to work in the United States if the work location is in the US
- Complete ramp and SIDA training to obtain airport authority identification security
- Ability to secure a Customs Seal if required
- Preferred qualifications include one or more years of relevant experience
Job Duties
- Guide inbound/outbound airplanes to and from the gate
- Transport, lift, load/unload, sort and transfer passenger baggage, cargo, and mail material in and out of aircraft bins, belt loader, or baggage carts in a safe manner
- Safeguard customer baggage, air cargo, airmail from weather, loss, theft, damage, and/or destruction
- Clean aircraft passenger cabins between flights and stock aircraft with needed supplies
- Operate heavy equipment, such as pushback equipment, and maintain visual contact with Wing Walkers to ensure the equipment is free from any danger
- Operate and/or drive motorized equipment, such as belt loaders, air-start units, lift trucks, push-back tugs, bag carts, lavatory carts, and deicers
- or manually push and pull pushcarts and containers
- Receive and record customer baggage, air freight, mail, and company materials as required
- Pick up, deliver, and transport cargo and baggage to and from aircraft, including wheelchairs, strollers, live animals, and other essential passenger items, and prepare records related to these responsibilities
- Complete all paperwork and forms related to work assignments and enter data into the company’s information system
- Follow company procedures and protocols to ensure consistent, safe, and responsible operation
- Complete all required training by the company, airport authority, or customer
- Be punctual, prepared, and safe while willing to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
