Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • at least 18 years of age
  • reliable telephone and transportation
  • valid driver’s license
  • ability to read, write, and understand English
  • ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English
  • detail-oriented with minimal supervision
  • ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • able to lift up to 70 lbs repeatedly
  • able to work in various weather conditions including extreme temperatures and precipitation
  • must pass pre-employment and random drug tests
  • must pass criminal background check
  • U.S. citizen or hold valid authorization to work in the U.S.
  • clear driving record
  • tactful interpersonal skills
  • excellent radio and telephone communication skills
  • ability to cope with non-routine situations such as flight delays and passenger accommodations

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • computer experience preferred
  • previous customer service experience preferred
  • must be 18 years of age or older
  • must have reliable telephone and transportation
  • must have valid driver’s license
  • ability to read, write, understand and carry out instructions in English
  • ability to communicate clearly and concisely verbally and in written form in English
  • must be detail-oriented and able to perform with minimal supervision
  • ability to handle multiple situations simultaneously
  • excellent radio and telephone skills
  • familiarity with FAA, airline, company, and airport regulations
  • ability to work in a variety of climatic conditions including extreme heat and cold
  • must be willing and able to attend meetings and complete training as required

Job Duties

  • Handling and care of passenger baggage
  • loading, unloading, and transportation to and from airport locations
  • handling and care of U.S. mail, freight, and express parcels
  • loading, unloading, and transportation to and from airport locations
  • ensuring ground handling complies with customer and company specifications
  • prioritizing safety for personnel, passengers, equipment, and aircraft
  • operating aircraft servicing equipment including electrical, engine start, lavatories, water service, and deicing
  • providing safe guidance of aircraft to and from parked areas, taxiways, and gates using visual, hand, verbal, and electronic communications
  • pushing or towing aircraft to designated locations
  • assisting disabled passengers in and out of aircraft
  • thorough cleaning of aircraft interiors including turn and overnight cleaning
  • pulling assignments and work orders from computer systems
  • accurately completing reports in a timely manner
  • familiarity with FAA, airline, company, and airport regulations
  • maintaining cleanliness of work areas and reporting maintenance needs
  • responding to client, staff, and public inquiries courteously
  • attending required meetings and in-services
  • maintaining records, reports, and files using appropriate communication channels
  • adhering to company uniform and protective gear policies
  • following company policies and procedures
  • utilizing equipment and resources cost-effectively
  • performing other duties as required
