Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- must have reliable telephone and transportation
- must pass pre-employment and random drug tests
- must pass a criminal background check
- must be a U.S. citizen or possess proper INS authorization
- must treat all information as confidential
- must be able to read, write, and understand instructions in English
- must be detail-oriented
- must have excellent radio and telephone skills
- must be willing and able to work early/late shifts including weekends
- must be able to lift, stoop, squat, push, stand, and bend throughout the shift
- must be able to do repeated heavy lifting up to 70 lbs
- must have clear driving record
- must wear proper uniform and visible identification
- must cope with non-routine situations such as delays and passenger accommodations
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- computer experience preferred
- previous customer service experience preferred
- ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English both verbally and in writing
- familiarity with FAA, airline, company, and airport regulations
- excellent radio and telephone skills
- ability to multitask and work with minimal supervision
- demonstrated tact in dealing with clients, employees, and the public
- physical ability to lift up to 70 lbs regularly
- ability to work in various climatic conditions
- clear driving record
- valid driver’s license
Job Duties
- Handling and care of passenger baggage
- loading, unloading, and transportation to and from various airport locations
- handling and care of U.S. mail, freight, and express parcels
- compliance with customer and G2 ground handling specifications
- operation of aircraft servicing equipment including electrical, engine start, lavatories, water service, and deicing
- provide safe guidance of aircraft using visual, hand, verbal, and electronic communications
- pushing or towing aircraft to and from designated locations
- assisting disabled passengers in and out of the aircraft
- thorough cleaning of aircraft interiors including turn and overnight cleaning
- pulling computer work assignments and provisioning aircraft
- reporting accurately and timely
- adherence to FAA, airline, company, and airport regulations
- maintaining cleanliness and reporting maintenance needs
- projecting a positive image and courteous communication
- attending meetings and training sessions
- maintaining records and reports
- adhering to uniform and identification requirements
- following company policies and participating in company objectives
- conscientious use of equipment and supplies
- performing other duties as requested
