Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum age of 18
  • Valid unexpired driver’s license issued by a U.S. state, territory or the District of Columbia
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to consistently lift 50 pounds
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, reach and grasp
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to participate in paid training that may require overnight travel
  • Depending on work location, ability to obtain USPS Mail Handling Certification
  • Ability to obtain airport security clearance
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to learn and operate a computerized reservation system
  • Typing speed of at least 25 words per minute
  • Ability to perform basic mathematics
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to communicate in English

Job Duties

  • Assist guests with travel needs such as answering inquiries, baggage handling, ticketing, checking-in passengers and boarding flights
  • Work outdoors in all types of weather conditions performing below wing functions including transporting baggage and cargo, loading and offloading luggage and cargo, aircraft marshaling, pushing back the aircraft and aircraft deicing
  • Perform aircraft grooming and security searches
  • Perform boarding and gate duties including assisting and directing guests, making announcements, processing standby and upgrade requests
  • Process and secure guest luggage, file and maintain luggage claims for damaged, delayed and pilfered baggage
  • Load and offload luggage and cargo with the use of conveyor belts
  • Perform other duties as assigned and at the direction of management to ensure complete guest satisfaction
