Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- No prior experience required
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to maneuver packages heavier than 50 lbs with assistance or appropriate equipment
- Ability to complete basic and recurrent training and testing
- Ability to operate ground support equipment
- Ability to communicate verbally in English
- Compliance with FAA safety-sensitive position requirements including regulatory alcohol and drug testing
- Ability to work alertly and safely in a noisy, time-sensitive environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver heavier packages with assistance
- Ability to complete basic and recurrent training and testing
- Knowledge of FAMIS and FedEx computer systems
- Good human relations and verbal communication skills
- Ability to operate GSE
- Ability to read and speak English sufficiently for communication and safety compliance
Job Duties
- Coordinate all station ground operations relating to the operational interface between aircraft loading and unloading activities
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Properly identify and prioritize loading and unloading procedures
- Operate ground support equipment (GSE)
- Communicate effectively in a time-sensitive manner within noisy operational environments
- Read and understand traffic signs and respond to official inquiries as per FMCSA guidelines
- Maintain a constant state of alertness to adhere to safety regulations
