Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- No prior experience required
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to maneuver packages above 50 lbs with assistance
- Ability to operate ground support equipment
- Must meet qualifications outlined in section 391 of the federal motor carrier safety regulations
- Must pass medical exam according to FMCSA or FAA regulations
- Must comply with regulatory alcohol and drug testing including marijuana, PCP, amphetamines, cocaine, and opioids
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to properly identify and prioritize loading and unloading procedures
- Ability to operate ground support equipment
- Good human relations and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate verbally in a time-sensitive manner
- Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs and respond to official inquiries
- Knowledge of FedEx computer and timekeeping systems
- Ability to work in alert and safe manner under FAA safety-sensitive conditions
Job Duties
- Coordinate all operations relating to trunk aircraft loading and unloading activities
- Perform job duties and responsibilities required of a courier
- Operate ground support equipment
- Identify and prioritize loading and unloading procedures
- Communicate effectively in a time-sensitive and noisy operations environment
- Handle packages including lifting up to 50 lbs and maneuvering heavier loads with assistance
- Adhere to FAA and FMCSA safety and regulatory requirements
