Job Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident status to obtain CBP seal
- able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as per flight schedule
- able to stand for prolonged periods
- able to lift, push, and pull up to 75 pounds
- able to climb ladders up to 15 feet
- able to speak and hear efficiently
- able to work in indoor and outdoor environments with exposure to noise, weather, odors, dust, fuel, and fumes
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- ability to read, write, understand, and carry out instructions in English
- ability to verbally communicate in English
- maintains confidentiality of information
- possesses tact when interacting with employees and clients
- holds a valid driver's license
- ability to obtain a U.S. Customs and Border Protection seal
Job Duties
- Properly and safely loads and unloads freight
- builds up and breaks down cargo pallets and freight containers following guidelines
- holds equipment certifications and operates equipment safely
- obtains proper security documents for all shipments
- verifies shipment pieces, weight, dimensions, and airworthiness upon receipt
- verifies shipment pieces and airway bill numbers upon delivery
- performs aircraft cabin cleaning duties including vacuuming and cleaning of seats, seat back pockets, floors, pantries, galleys, toilets, telephones, windows, flight deck, and passenger and crew compartments
- removes trash and cleans waste from aircraft
- correctly handles international garbage as required by regulations
