Job Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • possess a valid unrestricted state-issued driver’s license
  • have a High School Diploma or GED
  • obtain position-specific clearances including FAA, TSA, Port Authority, and U.S. Customs
  • pass a pre-placement background check and drug screen
  • be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • ability to lift more than 50 pounds with or without accommodation
  • ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • attend 4 days of Basic Station Training
  • flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • full-time availability
  • not a Department of Transportation safety-sensitive position

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • valid unrestricted state-issued driver’s license
  • knowledge of FAA, TSA, Port Authority, and U.S. Customs clearance procedures
  • ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to operate motorized equipment
  • commitment to safety and compliance with regulations

Job Duties

  • Loading and unloading aircraft and carts
  • stacking and unstacking baggage in aircraft
  • complete safety checklists for motorized equipment
  • drive and operate motorized equipment such as conveyor belts
  • read and interpret aircraft load sheets and checked baggage tags
  • escort passengers and special needs customers safely and courteously
  • ensure compliance with SkyWest and Federal Aviation Administration regulations and policies
