Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Must be willing to work in inclement weather
- Must be comfortable with heights up to 40 feet
- Required to work nights, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules during winter events
- Successfully complete a background check including FBI fingerprints and drug test
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, procedures, and manuals
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
- Moderate physical demands including lifting up to 100 pounds with assistance, and working in all weather conditions
Job Qualifications
- Must possess a valid drivers license
- High school graduate or GED
- Able to fluently read, write, speak, and understand English
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work under stressful situations and tight time constraints
- Self-motivated and team player
- Must be a U.S. citizen or have the right to work in the U.S.
- Prior ramp service experience preferred
- Prior deicing experience preferred
Job Duties
- Operate deicing equipment for removing winter contaminants from aircraft
- Maintain and inspect deicing equipment and ensure serviceability
- Perform preseason, mid-season, and end-of-season inspections and fluid tests
- Complete delivery logs and work orders for tracking and billing
- Provide training on deicing equipment during on-the-job training periods
- Operate deicing fluid fill and storage stations and ensure proper fluid handling
- Perform additional ramp duties as assigned during downtime
