Job Requirements

  • No experience requirement
  • Must possess a valid state motor vehicle operator's license
  • Must be able to obtain a SIDA badge and meet all local airport requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must be able to lift and move items weighing 70 pounds regularly and repetitively lift 40 to 50 pounds on raised surfaces
  • Must be able to climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop frequently
  • Must be able to carry heavy items up and down jetway stairs
  • Must be able to comply with company attendance standards
  • Must be able to work in cramped or high places
  • Must be able to wear prescribed uniforms
  • Must be able to work shift work and/or overtime
  • Must meet grooming standards as outlined in company guidelines

Job Qualifications

  • No education requirement
  • Must possess a valid state motor vehicle operator's license
  • Must be able to obtain a SIDA badge and meet all local airport requirements
  • May be required to obtain a Customs Seal for international flights
  • Ability to read documents, follow instructions, and understand ramp operations procedures
  • Ability to work well with others as part of a team
  • Ability to communicate verbally and via radio equipment
  • Must be able to satisfactorily complete Ramp Agent training program with a 90% or greater average
  • Must be aware of hazardous situations and able to handle emergencies
  • Must meet grooming standards and attendance standards
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be able to work shift work and/or overtime
  • Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per company standards

Job Duties

  • Provide friendly service to and maintain positive relationships with all internal and external customers
  • Work cooperatively to ensure the success of the company
  • Provide legendary customer service to travelers and cargo or baggage service users by servicing aircraft at ramps and terminals
  • Load, unload, service, guide, and direct company aircraft
  • Receive and record customer baggage, air freight, mail, and company materials as required
  • Handle all aspects of loading, stowing, and unloading baggage, cargo, airmail, air freight, ballast, and company materials according to a predetermined plan
  • Submit cargo bin loading slips to operations agents
  • Pick up, deliver, and transport cargo and baggage to and from aircraft
  • Warehouse, weigh, stack, pick up, and deliver air cargo, checking for discrepancies and correcting errors
  • Safeguard customers' baggage, air cargo, air mail, and company materials from weather, loss, theft, damage, or destruction
  • Use jetway stairs frequently to carry items checked at the gate to aircraft bins
  • Review cargo forms for accuracy and correct as necessary
  • Perform interior aircraft cabin cleaning including sweeping, upholstery care, cleaning windows, galleys, and disposal containers
  • Clean and service lavatories and operate lavatory carts
  • Stock aircraft cabin interiors with equipment and supplies
  • Maintain inventory of items and supplies
  • Transport cabin and cleaning equipment
  • Operate motorized ground equipment such as belt loaders, air start units, lift trucks, push back tugs, bag carts, lavatory carts, and de-icers
  • Manually push and pull carts and containers
  • Work indoors and outdoors near passenger terminals, hangars, and airfreight facilities
  • Complete forms and paperwork related to work assignments
  • Provide friendly service to coworkers and customers
  • Meet all physical ability and grooming standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned
