Job Requirements
- A valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Ability to pass a physical capability test
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Ability to obtain and maintain an airport SIDA badge, US Customs seal, and USPS security clearance
- Ability to work any shift, including early mornings, late nights, weekends and holidays
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds on a frequent basis
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, reach and grasp
- Ability to maintain reliable attendance
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with an ability to get along with others
- Understanding and ability to utilize electronic tools to interpret flight schedules and airline flight destination information
- Performing basic mathematical functions such as counting bags and verifying cargo weights
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

- Previous airport experience
- Previous experience working in a physically demanding job
Job Duties
- Safely lift, load, unload, and transport baggage, mail, and cargo to and from aircraft
- Deliver passenger luggage and cargo to designated locations
- Guide incoming and departing aircraft from the gate using hand signals and wing walking procedures
- Service aircraft water and lavatory
- Safely driving and operating ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors in areas of congestion
- Operate baggage scanners and computers to ensure baggage is routed accurately to the customer's destination
- Inspect ramp areas adjacent to gate and aircraft for debris and remove/dispose of when found
- Maintain clear communication with flight crews and other ground personnel
- Monitor weather conditions and take appropriate safety measures
- Perform regular equipment inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Comply with all federal, state, municipal, airport authority and carrier safety and security requirements
- Additional duties as assigned
