Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have reliable telephone and transportation
- Must pass pre-employment and random drug tests
- Must pass criminal background check
- Must be willing and able to work early/late shifts and response to non-routine delays
- Must be physically fit to handle heavy lifting and work in all weather
- Must be able to assist disabled passengers
- Must be able to understand and carry out instructions in English
- Must wear proper uniform and safety gear with visible identification
- Must adhere to all safety policies and procedures
- Must maintain confidentiality
- Must have clear driving record
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Computer experience preferred
- Previous customer service experience preferred
- Ability to treat information confidentially
- Strong interpersonal skills to manage various situations
- Physical capability to do repeated heavy lifting up to 70 lbs
- Ability to work standing, sitting, and bending throughout the shift
- Able to work in varied extreme weather conditions
- Understanding and compliance with FAA, airline, company, and airport regulations
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Valid driver's license
- Clear driving record
- Citizenship or legal authorization to work in the United States
Job Duties
- Handling and care of passenger baggage
- Loading, unloading, transportation of baggage within airport
- Managing U.S. mail, freight, and express parcels including loading and unloading
- Performing all ground handling according to customer and company specifications
- Prioritizing safety of personnel, passengers, equipment, and aircraft
- Operating aircraft servicing equipment for electrical, engine start, lavatories, water service, and deicing
- Guiding aircraft safely to and from parking areas, taxiways, and gates using various communication methods
- Pushing or towing aircraft on airport grounds
- Assisting disabled passengers
- Cleaning aircraft interiors thoroughly according to procedures
- Pulling computer work assignments and provisioning aircraft
- Completing all reports accurately and timely
- Keeping informed about FAA, airline, company, and airport regulations
- Maintaining cleanliness and reporting maintenance needs
- Projecting a positive image and responding courteously to inquiries
- Attending meetings and training sessions
- Using proper communications channels and maintaining records
- Adhering to company uniform and safety gear requirements
- Following company policies and participating in company objectives
- Utilizing equipment and supplies conscientiously
- Performing additional duties as requested
