Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • must be 18 years of age or older
  • reliable telephone and transportation
  • valid driver's license
  • ability to do repeated heavy lifting up to 70 lbs regularly
  • ability to sit, stand, lift, and/or bend throughout shift
  • willingness and ability to work in a variety of climatic conditions
  • pass pre-employment and random drug tests
  • pass criminal background check
  • ability to cope with non-routine situations including flight delays and passenger accommodations
  • ability to read, write, understand and carry out instructions in English
  • ability to verbally direct in English
  • must be a U.S. citizen or have necessary INS authorization
  • clear driving record

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • computer experience preferred
  • previous customer service experience preferred
  • ability to do repeated heavy lifting up to 70 lbs
  • ability to sit, stand, lift, and bend throughout shift
  • willingness to work in varying climatic conditions including extreme heat and cold
  • ability to read, write, understand, and verbally communicate in English
  • good interpersonal skills to deal tactfully with clients, employees, and the public
  • valid driver’s license
  • clear driving record
  • customer service orientation

Job Duties

  • handling and care of passenger baggage
  • loading, unloading, transportation to and from various airport locations
  • handling and care of U.S. mail, freight, express parcels
  • all ground handling in accordance with customer and company specifications
  • operation of aircraft servicing equipment including electrical, engine start, lavatories, water service, and deicing
  • provide safe guidance of aircraft to and from parked areas, taxiways, and gates
  • pushing or towing aircraft to designated locations
  • assisting disabled passengers in and out of aircraft
  • cleaning aircraft interiors as directed
  • pulling computer work assignments and provision aircraft
  • completing reports accurately and timely
  • maintaining familiarity with FAA, airline, company, and airport regulations
  • keeping supervisor informed of needs and problems
  • projecting a positive image and responding to inquiries courteously
  • attending meetings and in-services
  • utilizing appropriate communication channels and maintaining records
  • adhering to company dress code and safety policies
  • using company and client resources cost-effectively
  • performing other duties as requested
