Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must have reliable telephone and transportation
  • Must have valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to do repeated heavy lifting up to 70 lbs
  • Must be able to sit, stand, lift, and/or bend throughout shift
  • Must be willing and able to work in extreme climatic conditions including heat, cold, rain, snow, and wind
  • Must pass pre-employment and random drug tests
  • Must pass a criminal background check
  • Must be able to read, write, understand, and verbally communicate in English
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or have proper authorization
  • Must have clear driving record
  • Must treat all information as confidential
  • Must be willing and able to cope with non-routine situations including flight delays and passenger accommodations

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Computer experience preferred
  • Previous customer service experience preferred
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Ability to operate motorized equipment safely
  • Physical capability for repeated heavy lifting up to 70 lbs
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions
  • Valid driver’s license with clear driving record
  • Citizenship or authorization to work in the United States
  • Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug tests
  • Experience with FAA, airline, company, and airport regulations preferred
  • Customer service orientation
  • Ability to complete reports and maintain accurate records

Job Duties

  • Handling and care of passenger baggage
  • Loading, unloading, and transportation of baggage to and from various airport locations
  • Handling and care of U.S. mail, freight, and express parcels
  • Loading, unloading, and transportation of mail and freight
  • Performing ground handling activities according to customer and G2 specifications
  • Prioritizing safety of personnel, passengers, equipment, and aircraft
  • Operating aircraft servicing equipment for electrical, engine start, lavatory and water servicing, and deicing where applicable
  • Providing safe guidance for aircraft movements using visual, hand, verbal, and electronic signals
  • Pushing or towing aircraft to designated locations
  • Assisting disabled passengers in boarding and deplaning
  • Cleaning aircraft interiors thoroughly, including turnaround and overnight cleanings
  • Pulling and performing computer work assignments as directed
  • Preparing and submitting accurate reports in a timely manner
  • Maintaining familiarity with FAA, airline, company, and airport regulations
  • Communicating needs and problems to supervisors and maintaining cleanliness in work areas
  • Projecting a positive image and responding courteously to clients, staff, and the public
  • Attending required meetings and inservice training
  • Utilizing appropriate communication channels and maintaining records and files
  • Wearing proper uniforms and protective gear with visible identification
  • Complying with company policies and participating in achieving company goals
  • Using company and client equipment, supplies, and resources conscientiously and cost-effectively
  • Performing other duties as assigned
  • Adhering to all safety requirements including use of trained equipment, reporting unsafe conditions and injuries, wearing PPE, and attending safety training
