Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable telephone and transportation
- Ability to perform repeated heavy lifting up to 70 lbs
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
- Ability to sit, stand, lift and bend throughout shift
- Pass pre-employment and random drug tests
- Pass criminal background check
- U.S. citizenship or proper INS authorization
- Clear driving record
- Ability to understand and follow instructions in English
- Ability to communicate verbally in English
- Must treat all information as confidential
- Possess tact when dealing with clients, employees and the public
- Willingness to cope with non-routine situations including delays and passenger accommodations
Job Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Computer experience preferred
- Previous customer service experience preferred
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have reliable telephone and transportation
- Must have valid driver’s license
- Ability to read, write, understand and carry out instructions in English
- Ability to verbally direct in English
- Clear driving record
- Must pass pre-employment and random drug tests
- Must pass criminal background check
- Must be a U.S. citizen or possess necessary authorization from INS
- Ability to handle repeated heavy lifting up to 70 lbs
- Ability to work in various climatic conditions including extreme heat and cold
- Willingness to adhere to company uniform and protective gear policies
Job Duties
- Handling and care of passenger baggage
- Loading, unloading, transportation of baggage to and from various airport locations
- Handling and care of U.S. mail, freight, and express parcels
- Loading, unloading and transportation of mail and freight
- Ensuring all ground handling complies with customer and company specifications
- Prioritizing safety of personnel, passengers, equipment, and aircraft
- Operating aircraft servicing equipment for electrical, engine start, lavatories, water service, and deicing
- Guiding aircraft to and from parked areas, taxiways and gate areas using visual, hand, verbal and electronic communications
- Pushing or towing aircraft to and from designated airport locations
- Assisting disabled passengers in and out of aircraft
- Thorough cleaning of aircraft interiors including turn and overnight cleaning as directed
- Pulling computer work assignments and provision aircraft as directed
- Preparing accurate and timely reports
- Maintaining familiarity with FAA, Airline, Company and Airport regulations
- Keeping supervisors informed of needs and problems within assigned areas
- Attending required meetings and in-services
- Adhering to company policies and procedures
- Utilizing company and client equipment and resources efficiently
- Performing additional duties as assigned
