Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Valid driver’s license with clear driving record
- Reliable telephone and transportation
- Must pass pre-employment and random drug tests
- Must pass criminal background check
- Ability to do repeated heavy lifting up to 70 lbs
- Ability to sit, stand, lift, and/or bend throughout shift
- Willingness and ability to work in extreme weather conditions
- Treat all information as confidential
- Possess tact to deal with various clients and employees
- U.S. citizenship or INS authorization
- Ability to cope with non-routine situations including flight delays and passenger accommodations
- Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate in English
- Must be willing to wear proper uniform and identification at all times
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Computer experience preferred
- Previous customer service experience preferred
- Ability to read, write, understand, and follow instructions in English
- Ability to verbally direct in English
- Knowledge of FAA, airline, company, and airport regulations
- Experience in handling and care of baggage and aircraft servicing equipment preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
Job Duties
- Handling and care of passenger baggage
- Loading, unloading, and transportation of baggage within airport
- Handling and care of U.S. mail, freight, and express parcels
- Operation of aircraft servicing equipment including electrical, engine start, lavatory, water service, and deicing
- Providing safe guidance of aircraft to and from parked areas using visual, hand, verbal, and electronic communication
- Pushing or towing aircraft to designated locations
- Assisting disabled passengers in and out of aircraft
- Cleaning aircraft interiors thoroughly including turnaround and overnight cleaning
- Pulling computer work assignments and provisioning aircraft
- Reporting accurately and timely
- Maintaining compliance with FAA, airline, company, and airport regulations
- Maintaining cleanliness and reporting maintenance needs
- Projecting a positive image and responding courteously to inquiries
- Attending meetings and inservices
- Utilizing communication channels and maintaining records
- Wearing proper uniforms and protective gear
- Adhering to company policies and using resources cost-effectively
- Performing other duties as assigned
