Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED or ability
  • valid state driver’s license
  • desire to succeed
  • ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • physical fitness to climb ladders and lift heavy items
  • willingness to work second shifts and weekends until seniority

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or GED
  • ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • ability to climb ladders up to 20 feet
  • physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • attention to detail in inspection tasks
  • willingness to work weekends and shifts as required
  • valid state driver’s license

Job Duties

  • perform essential cleaning and inspection functions necessary to prepare railcars for transport
  • climb ladders up to 16-20 feet
  • lift up to 50lbs throughout the shift
  • inspect and assist in opening and closing railcar end doors
  • inspect railcars for damage or fatigue
  • identify repairs that can be performed by Road & Rail Services
  • remove all debris and contaminants using backpack blowers and scraping devices
  • comply with all industry, customer and company safety regulations and operating procedures
