Job Qualifications
- high school diploma/GED or equivalent
- prior experience in railcar inspection or maintenance preferred but not required
- strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- ability to work effectively in a team environment
- solid communication skills
- physical ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions
- valid state driver's license
Job Duties
- comply with all industry, customer and company safety regulations and operating procedures
- inspect and assist in opening and closing railcar end doors
- inspect railcars for damage/fatigue
- identify repairs that can be performed by Road & Rail Services
- through the use of backpack blowers and various scraping devices remove all debris and other contaminates which could potentially cause vehicle damage
- maintain accountability and maintenance for all assigned equipment
- perform housekeeping duties as required by management
