Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Willingness to work any shift (day, swing, graveyard)
  • Ability to work in a 24/7 operational environment
  • Ability to perform physical work including lifting and bending
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to respond to emergency situations
  • Basic computer proficiency

  • Experience in cleaning or maintenance work preferred
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to work any shift including days, swings, and graveyard
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and procedures

Job Duties

  • Clean interior and exterior of light rail vehicles and streetcars by hand washing and steam cleaning
  • Report defects such as defective lights, body damage, interior damage, and operating issues to supervisor
  • Post, add and subtract amounts of commodities used in designated logs
  • Remove trash and debris from light rail vehicles and streetcars
  • Check and replenish consumables such as sand and wiper fluid
  • Maintain shop facilities and vehicles following written procedures or instructions
  • Operate computer systems for related data input and retrieval
