Job Requirements

  • Minimum ten years senior hotel leadership experience
  • Minimum three to five year previous General Manager experience in a full service environment
  • Minimum two years upper upscale hotel experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Proven leadership skills, results oriented
  • Able to resolve conflicts with guests, supervisor and employee
  • Able to collaborate effectively with other hotel employees and managers to ensure teamwork
  • Able to create a diverse and supportive work environment
  • Strong time management skills

Job Duties

  • Develop and implement business strategies aligned with corporate and owner objectives
  • Monitor and adjust strategies regularly to ensure success
  • Serve as liaison for owner relations in conjunction with corporate
  • Develop annual and capital budgets with financial leadership and obtain owner approval
  • Collaborate with company businesses to leverage resources, purchases, revenues, and training
  • Improve market penetration through forecasting and setting realistic targets
  • Achieve profit, customer service, and revenue goals by directing hotel operations
  • Develop and implement sales and marketing plans with the Management Services Team
  • Publicize the hotel and build community networks through public relations
  • Continuously improve hotel operations and guest services with Executive Committee
  • Analyze business results regularly and take corrective actions
  • Ensure compliance with Choice Hotels' operational standards
  • Maintain positive owner relations and good dialogue
  • Adhere to all local, state, and national laws and regulations
  • Implement employee engagement strategies and oversee human resources functions
  • Recruit, train, develop, and manage compensation and performance of staff
  • Communicate performance expectations and provide feedback
  • Coach and counsel employees to achieve objectives
  • Provide training and resources to maximize employee engagement and service
  • Create 100% guest satisfaction by delivering genuine hospitality and exceeding expectations
