Job Requirements

- Experience in clerical or administrative duties in a healthcare setting

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a medical administrative role preferred
- Knowledge of Radiology Information System (RIS) advantageous
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Familiarity with infection control and safety procedures
- Basic computer proficiency including scheduling and data entry
Job Duties
- Greet patients and gather required personal, demographic, and insurance information
- Review physicians' orders and contact offices for clarification as needed
- Create orders in the Radiology Information System (RIS) for technologists
- Coordinate with Health Information Management (HIM) to process all patient record requests
- Observe waiting room turnover and update patients and families on delays
- Maintain supplies and inventory as necessary
- Answer telephone and ensure proper preparation for patient exams
- Clean and evaluate equipment condition daily and report any malfunctions
- Meet all departmental specific competencies
- Adhere to hospital policies on infection control, safety, and personnel guidelines
- Maintain patient confidentiality and treat patients with dignity and respect
