Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Less than 1 year of experience in a related field
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification obtained within 30 days of hire or transfer
- Availability to work Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- Ability to comply with hospital safety and confidentiality protocols
- Capability to handle physical demands of the position
- Willingness to maintain personal radiation monitoring and report issues promptly
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification acquired within 30 days of hire
- Less than 1 year of related experience
- Knowledge of patient confidentiality and hospital protocols
- Ability to operate radiology equipment safely
- Skills in patient care and communication
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Capability to observe patient conditions and respond appropriately
- Strong interpersonal skills and customer service orientation
- Willingness to participate in continued education and training
Job Duties
- Prepare patient for exam or procedure and assist technologist, nurse or physician
- Maintain patient and staff confidentiality at all times
- Verify patient identification using two forms of ID in accordance with hospital policies
- Operate and maintain radiology equipment safely and according to policies
- Maintain clean and serviceable work environment and imaging rooms
- Manage inventory of equipment and supplies and order from purchasing as needed
- Clean imaging rooms thoroughly to prepare for next patient and ensure infection control standards
- Wear and submit personal radiation monitoring device consistently
- Report any loss or damage of radiation monitoring device immediately
- Observe patients, recognize changes in condition, and seek assistance promptly
- Verify requisitions for valid orders, priorities, consents, and use time-out process for invasive procedures
- Ensure documentation accuracy with patient identification and labeling
