Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • three years of experience in radio systems maintenance and repair
  • experience in client hardware support and database administration
  • must obtain HAM radio General license within 24 months
  • valid driver's license with appropriate endorsement
  • satisfactory driving record

Job Qualifications

  • three years of experience in maintenance and repair of radio systems
  • experience with client laptop and desktop hardware support
  • database administration experience
  • ability to obtain HAM radio General license within 24 months
  • valid driver's license with satisfactory record

Job Duties

  • Coordinates delivery of emergency communication and technology services
  • develops and maintains policies and protocols for public safety radio system
  • coordinates system changes and updates with external vendors
  • maintains emergency communications equipment including controllers, towers, generators, and radios
  • performs site inspections and monitors alarm systems
  • provides radio system user support and troubleshooting
  • coordinates radio system administration, programming, and upgrades
  • manages yearly maintenance of radio system infrastructure
  • makes budget recommendations and monitors expenditures
  • coordinates with service technicians for technical support
  • collaborates with Amateur Radio Emergency Services volunteers
  • participates in emergency preparedness and disaster readiness training
  • operates computers and communication equipment to complete essential functions
