Job Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older
Must have reliable telephone and transportation
May be required to have high school diploma or GED if city ordinance mandates
Must be able to walk constantly throughout the shift including stairs inside and outside
Must be able to sit, stand, lift and/or bend throughout shift and climb stairs
Must be able to lift, carry, and/or hold up to 70 lbs
May be exposed to occasional loud noise levels
May be exposed to hazards from alarms or other irregularities
Must pass pre-employment drug screen
Must pass pre-employment criminal background check
Must be able to read, write, understand and carry out instructions in English
Must meet necessary requirements to obtain a security sensitive identification badge
Must be a US citizen or possess necessary authorization from Immigration and Naturalization Service
May be required to work weekends, overnight shifts and holidays

Job Qualifications

Previous experience in security, military or public contract preferred
Previous customer service experience required
Must be able to communicate effectively with passengers, TSA and airline personnel
Must possess tact to deal with all levels of employees and client representatives
Must be able to operate a computer and access systems where applicable
Must be familiar with governmental, client and company regulations
Must be able to complete detailed reports accurately
Must be able to maintain professionalism and courteous manner in communications
Must be physically capable of walking, sitting, standing, lifting and bending during shift
Must be able to pass random tests by FAA, TSA and Airport Police

Job Duties

Maintain and monitor airline passenger lines purging them based on flight departures
Pull airline arrival sheets and triage the lines based on flight departures
Monitor the flight screens for last minute changes
Clearly communicate with passengers, TSA, airline and airport authorities
Monitor premium passengers abide by ADA laws and LAWA regulations
Assist passengers to ensure they make their respective flights
Monitor and challenge all employees and clients in the designated area
Ensure all persons and property entering and leaving the premises are properly authorized
Respond timely within flight departure status working with TSA to ensure passengers are screened timely
Immediately report discrepancies, violations, incidents and concerns to supervisor, manager or airport police
Maintain alert and watchful observation of high traffic areas
Answer telephones and radios in a polite and professional manner
Operate a computer and access systems where applicable
Complete reports in detail and in a timely manner
Attend meetings and in-service as required
Utilize appropriate communication channels and maintain records, reports and files as required
Adhere to company policies and procedures and participate in achievement of company objectives
Perform other duties as requested
