Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • current Kansas CNA license
  • ability to complete activities and restorative aide certifications within 45 days of hire

Job Duties

  • Planning and creating events to celebrate holidays, birthdays, and special occasions
  • decorating and preparing common areas and neighborhoods for holidays and events
  • encouraging and assisting staff and elders in decorating neighborhoods
  • notifying families and elders of upcoming events and holidays
  • completing daily documentation on restorative programs for assigned neighborhoods
  • completing MDS Section F for activities including quarterly, annual, and significant change assessments
  • conducting activities initial reviews and participation reviews
  • developing weekly activity calendars and event flyers
  • executing restorative programs tailored to individual residents such as mobility exercises and group sessions
  • attending weekly training sessions on restorative programs
  • communicating with the director regarding the appropriateness of programs
