Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • possession of an A&P license
  • recommended IA rating
  • valid driver’s license approved for airline travel or valid passport ideal
  • computer literacy including word processing and spreadsheets
  • ability to read electrical and structural prints recommended
  • customer service experience recommended
  • self-motivation and ability to work under deadlines
  • detail-oriented with accurate data entry skills
  • ability to maintain good communication with management and staff
  • compliance with FAA regulations and company policies
  • physical ability to lift at least 25 lbs
  • ability to bend, reach, stoop, and walk short distances
  • capability to sit at a desk or computer for extended periods
  • ability to prioritize and control workload
  • professional collaboration skills
  • adaptability to new computer systems
  • willingness to work closely with FAA personnel

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • A&P license required
  • Inspector Authorization (IA) rating recommended
  • Computer literacy in word processing and spreadsheets
  • Ability to read electrical and structural prints recommended
  • Customer service experience recommended
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Leadership and team management experience
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities

Job Duties

  • Supervise, mentor, and guide team members of the Quality Department
  • foster a positive work environment
  • encourage teamwork
  • enhance skills through on-the-job training and performance coaching
  • participate in hiring and disciplinary matters
  • conduct quarterly performance assessments and feedback
  • liaise with the local FAA to ensure regulatory compliance
  • assure inspections are properly performed and all inspection records, reports, and forms are completed before the release of aircraft and parts
  • determine that all technical data on overhauled or repaired articles are current with the latest revisions
  • assure periodic checks and calibration of inspection tools and precision equipment
  • guide final acceptance of all incoming materials including parts and supplies
  • assure proper inspection documentation is available to all inspection personnel
  • assure technician work orders and forms are properly executed
  • prevent unapproved parts from entering the parts system
  • ensure proper entries in maintenance logs and work orders
  • communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing
  • perform all other job-related duties assigned by management
