Job Requirements
- Two or more years of bakery or food manufacturing operations management experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required, bachelor's degree preferred
- Bakery operations, quality, food safety, or sanitation supervisory experience for 2 years or more
- HACCP, PCQI, Food Defense Coordinator, or GFSI certification preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Comfortable working in team environments
- Ability to work under pressure and multitask
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
- Ability to read and follow written procedures accurately
- Ability to work off ground level with safety equipment
- Ability to work in non-air-conditioned environments
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in food science or related field preferred
- Two or more years of bakery or food manufacturing operations management experience
- Experience in bakery operations, quality, food safety, or sanitation supervision
- Certifications such as HACCP, PCQI, Food Defense Coordinator, GFSI, or similar
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Organized and detail oriented
- Ability to work effectively in participative team environments
- Ability to work under pressure and multitask
- Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills
Job Duties
- Win the shift by ensuring all aspects of the shift adhere to quality, food safety, efficiency, and safety standards
- Foster a culture of associate engagement by respecting and empowering associates
- Uphold and promote E5 Leadership Behaviors
- Identify issues, assign actions, and ensure follow-up
- Coach associates towards independent problem-solving
- Collaborate across departments to ensure production schedules are met
- Prepare priorities for the team and communicate important issues
- Deliver on key performance indicators for people, quality, safety, service, and cost
- Engage and develop core competencies through onboarding, training, coaching, and feedback
- Achieve safety goals and comply with workplace standards and regulations
- Ensure product quality and compliance with standards
- Lead the team to meet production schedule, throughput, and shipping goals
- Ensure cost efficiency by reducing waste and overseeing staff scheduling
- Utilize technology applications for process efficiency
- Analyze data and support quality and food safety programs
- Maintain and improve quality and food safety policies
- Support plant-wide inspections and food safety initiatives
- Ensure active participation in product quality, sanitation, and food safety programs
