  • Knowledge of FDA, CFIA, USDA regulations
  • Experience in food production or quality control environment
  • Leadership or supervisory experience in quality assurance

Job Duties

  • Responsible for direct supervision and utilization of laboratory, water treatment, syrup blending, sanitation, microbiological equipment, raw materials, quality processes and people in a food production/packaging environment
  • Optimize resources while ensuring raw materials and finished product meet specifications and manufacturing standards and in accordance with FDA, CFIA, USDA, GMP’s HACCP, and all other governmental policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Act as Quality Manager during their absence
  • Monitoring production and warehousing processes and practices to ensure satisfactory controls for safety and security of finished products
  • Working with internal management team to schedule work/tasks relating to quality compliance
  • Oversee daily QA and QC inspections to ensure all products are meeting compliance
  • Write, update, and maintain SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures)
  • Supervises accurate and timely reporting of work documentations and records to ensure integrity and retention requirements
  • Must understand the company’s commitment to food, safety, quality and continuous improvement as outline in the Polar Beverages Safety and Quality Policy and to understand the responsibility for carrying out the outlined principles as an expectation of the job
  • Must understand and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) and to ensure GMP compliance of fellow employees
  • Responsible for Food safety and Food quality
